We definitely underestimated how long we would spend at each one of our stops on Day 4 of our Iceland road trip. We’re still getting used to this whole slow travel thing, I guess!
In hindsight, we probably should’ve spread these stops over two days. Iceland is just so gorgeous and each place is different which makes it hard to leave and move on to the next spot.
The good thing is we had clear, sunny weather which was ideal for seeing Skogafoss waterfall, Black beach, Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, Black waterfall, and the amazing Jökulsárlón iceberg lagoon.
My highlight of the day was Jökulsárlón – how often do you get to see a lagoon at the end of a glacier full of icebergs and a group of seals playing in the water? Definitely a once in a lifetime kind of day.
Which place on our Day 4 vlog would you like to visit? Or have you been already?
Love the new look and video blogs 🙂 Iceland looks amazing, a bit like New Zealand, one day we’ll make it there I hope!
Thanks Amy 🙂 We’re definitely enjoying playing around and trying to learn how to shoot/edit videos…I feel like this is going to turn in to an expensive hobby though as we keep finding new toys we want to buy now.
We thought Iceland looked like NZ too! It’s like NZ on steroids but without the nice sandy beaches. Highly recommend it for a road trip! (Iceland Air do their free stopover too if you guys happen to be flying back this way from US one day too)
