Coming Home to Canada
We started with Christmas at my Grandma’s house on Vancouver Island where Matt was the only guy and had to sit through slightly uncomfortable but hilarious conversations with Grandma’s new French Canadian friend.
We drove through snow and ice covered roads to Summerland and met my brother’s newborn baby girl which was incredibly special for me since I tend to miss out on things like that living on the other side of the world. We also spent quality time with my older sister and her highly entertaining kids.
Then it was off to Gibsons where we had 10 whole days staying at my Mom’s getting lots of work done, going on Instagram missions, and spending time with friends. After that, we went back to Vancouver where my Dad played tour guide (he really is the best at it!) and took us around White Rock, Steveston, and our favourite place in all of Vancouver – Granville Island Markets – where we ate all the food. Matt also got to go to his first Canucks game and was given a little badge to commemorate, and we spent loads of time with my friends and their cute little children.
I must admit, it was hard to say goodbye. All that quality time made me realise just how much I’ve been missing out by not living there anymore.
We just need to start getting all these online business ideas working for us so we can afford to keep going back!
Love this post! Such brilliant photos and it’s lovely to see you at home.
Thank you! It was so good to be back!
