Poppies at the Tower of London
Living in London has given us the opportunity to witness the history of the World Wars. We’ve been to the war cemeteries and Vimy Ridge in France with my cousin which was an amazing experience and in the last few weeks, we’ve watched Saving Private Ryan, been to the Imperial War Museum (a must visit), and have seen the new war film, Fury. In the middle of that, 2 Canadian soldiers were killed on Canadian soil.
I took a walk today to see the poppies at the Tower of London. Never in my life have I felt the weight of their sacrifice more than I do right now.
We will remember them.

This is a NICE post, Dayna. WOW.
Stunning! I have a friend who volunteered there, setting the poppies up, and hearing her stories were incredible. It makes it so much more real, doesn’t it?
It really does – it was so powerful to see them all set up like that. Really put it into perspective.
