An Amazing Safari in Udawalawe National Park

We had the most amazing time on our Elephant Safari at Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka. We had hear that Yala National Park could be quite busy so we opted for a safari at Udawalawe National Park instead and it didn’t disappoint! We saw elephants, deer, water buffalo and heaps of different birds including eagles and huge peacocks. This safari in Sri Lanka was the highlight of our trip and we would go again in a heartbeat.

First of all, thank you for all the comments here and on FB, and all the messages we received after our baby announcement post! This time I came “armed” with motion sickness fighting wrist bands (that are supposed to press on the right pressure points on your wrist and stop you ever feeling sick). It was a beautiful sunny and warm day, we had a large boat, and...

Round the World Travel Summary: Month 2

Countries Visited Flights Taken Kilometres Driven Ferries Taken January was such a good month for us, and me in particular. It’s been a very long time since I was in Canada for an extended time and able to hang out with family and friends properly. I got to hold heaps of babies too which I don’t get to do enough so that was awesome! We toured around beautiful BC and I once again fell in love with my home province, even in the middle of winter, and we also took a quick trip to Seattle to see the sights....
